Okunity FCU releases 2024 Annual Report; elects new Directors
Okunity Federal Credit Union, doing business as Oklahoma Community Credit Union, announced net income of $971,851 as they released their 2024 Annual Report as part of the credit union’s Annual Meeting held Thursday, March 27 at Oklahoma Community Credit Union’s main office in Stillwater.
Oklahoma Community also announced Becky Dilbeck has been re-elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors, while Jacob Amburn and Mandy Lyons are newly elected directors for three-year terms.
Amburn has previously served Oklahoma Community as secretary of the Supervisory Committee, which he has served on since 2017. His vacancy on the Supervisory Committee will be filled by Lara Brooks.
Also announced at the Annual Meeting was the retirement of Anne McMurtry from the Board of Directors. McMurtry chose not to seek re-election after over 20 years of service to the Credit Union.
“Anne’s experience as a realtor and a long-time community leader has been very valuable to our team at Oklahoma Community and she will be missed,” said Daniel Thrasher, Oklahoma Community President and CEO. “That said, we are equally excited to add new directors and committee members to our team of Volunteers. Having an engaged membership is important to the health of our Credit Union and we had several members interested in serving on both the Board and Supervisory Committee.”
Immediately after the Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors held their March Regular Board Meeting where officers were elected to serve until the next Annual Meeting. Colby Cagle will now serve as Chair, Lyle Eastman will serve as Vice Chair, Renee Smith will continue to serve as Treasurer and Dilbeck was elected as Secretary.
Elected by the membership, the Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic plan for the Credit Union, approving an annual budget, and evaluating the performance of the President/CEO. Credit Union directors serve as volunteers, without compensation for their time.
“The Board has been excited to complete several needed major projects recently including the new west Stillwater location, remodeling our main office, and rolling out the new digital banking platform,” Cagle said. “Now we are strategically preparing to continue growing our footprint in north central Oklahoma and the Board is excited to support staff in that goal in the coming years.”
Founded in 1968, Okunity Federal Credit Union, doing business as Oklahoma Community Credit Union, is a federally chartered financial cooperative and the only financial institution headquartered in Stillwater, Oklahoma, serving members across north central Oklahoma.
