OKLAHOMA COMMUNITY ANNOUNCES CALL FOR BOARD NOMINEES
STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma Community Credit Union is accepting applications for board of director nominees until Monday, December 2, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The credit union has three seats up for election at their next annual meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Current board members Becky Dilbeck, Anne McMurtry, and Joshua Harp are the incumbent directors for the expiring terms. Dilbeck intends to seek reelection, while McMurtry and Harp do not plan to seek another term.
Individuals interested in applying to be a director can download an application here (Board of Directors Application) or visit any Oklahoma Community branch to obtain an application. Applications are to be turned in to Oklahoma Community President/CEO Daniel Thrasher, and then reviewed by the Nominating Committee. McMurtry, Lyle Eastman and Colby Cagle will serve on the Nominating Committee and are responsible for ensuring that there are sufficient nominees for the open seats. If there are more nominations than open seats, an election will occur at the annual meeting.
Oklahoma Community board members serve on a volunteer basis for 3-year terms, and do not receive compensation for representing the membership. Their primary duties include hiring and managing the President/CEO, providing strategic guidance, setting the annual budget, and providing oversight of the membership’s resources.
To be qualified to serve as a director, individuals must be 18 years of age, be a member in good standings as described in the credit union bylaws, successfully pass criminal and credit background requirements including not have pled guilty or have been convicted of any criminal offense involving dishonesty or a breach of trust, and have experience in an aspect of finance and/or leadership dynamics.
