In March 2024, the remodel of the Main Location at 311 E. McElroy Rd, Stillwater, OK was complete. Oklahoma Community Credit Union relocated the drive-thru lanes to the east side of the building and added nearly 4,000 square feet of office space. A new training room/community board room was added along with a dedicated call center.

In April, the Credit Union held Member Open Houses, giving Members a first glance at the renovations. On Wednesday, April 24 staff handed out 200 bags of Veteran’s of Foreign War (VFW) popcorn. On Thursday, April 25 was “Swag Day.” Members could select from stress balls, hand sanitizers, eye glass cleaners and much more. Topping off the Member Open Houses, was the big hot dog day where Credit Union staff grilled hot dogs and handed out chips to Members. Over 400 hot dogs were cooked and the event was successful as Members visited, ate lunch and viewed the branch’s new look!

Lastly, the Credit Union hosted the Stillwater Chamber Business After Hours event on May 21 where over 80 people joined the Stillwater Chamber and Credit Union staffs to celebrate the Main Location remodel completion. The crowd enjoyed the flag raising ceremony provided by the Boy Scouts. Social 174 created the amazing hand-held snack cups and door prizes were given throughout the night, including a Kicker Bluetooth speaker, gift cards and cash. During the Business After Hours Event, the Credit Union’s President / CEO, Daniel Thrasher, dedicated the new board room to Earl D. Mitchell, Jr, a founding member and long-standing board member of the credit union. Another former board member, the late, William “Bill” Warde was also honored with Thrasher dedicating an exquisite metal tree sculpture to him. The art will be permanently displayed on the employee patio. Branch tours were given and several members of the project management company’s team from Eclipse Brand Builders, LLC was on site to showcase the final project and answer design and building questions at the event.
