The Early Childhood Coalition (ECC) received a $800 OK Community Cares grant to help provide Brain Bags to newborns at Stillwater Medical Center.
The Brain Bags were developed by the ECC as a tool to provide parents and caregivers with easy, meaningful ways to spend time with their young children even as newborns.
“The Early Childhood Coalition is grateful to Community Cares for the generous grant we received! This partnership will enable us to provide Brain Bags to families who have delivered their newborn at Stillwater Medical, giving them resources, information, and tools for themselves and their child,” said Laura Shellhammer, Executive Director. “In this way, parents can go home knowing that there is support and community connections available, which can make a positive impact on their future. We look forward to continuing this partnership and are thankful for all that OK Community Cares is doing.”
