OK Community Cares provided the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma (GSEOK) a $1,000 grant to support STEM programs.
Girl Scouts participating in the STEM programs learn about robotics, cybersecurity, coding, manufacturing, space science and more. According to GSEOK, over 200 girls are involved with Girl Scouts in Payne County. Through participation in the different programs, girls learn life skills including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
OK Community Cares is a fund of Oklahoma Community Federal Credit Union (“Oklahoma Community” or “Credit Union”) to help fulfill the Credit Union’s mission to enhance the financial well-being of our members and communities. Through this fund we will exhibit our core values of “Knowing, Doing & Caring,” by supporting local organizations, schools and community activities that enhance educational opportunities, provide financial literacy, address food insecurities, encourage healthy living and address housing needs.
