Hello Members! Thank you to all of you that could join us for the special #ILoveMyCreditUnion day on Friday, July 31st. We celebrated the credit union movement and we absolutely inspired authentic and high-energy conversation about why you love your credit union!
Celebrations were held at both Stillwater, OK locations!
311 E. McElroy Road & 1811 S. Sangre Road
A few things that happened during the #ILoveMyCreditUnion day were:
- VFW^ popped popcorn was at both locations 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Members & Staff took photo and shared them on social media on why they love being a credit union Member
- Credit Union give-a-ways of ink pens, pumpkin scoops and stress balls
- The first 100 Members who came in on July 31st received an orange, Oklahoma Community CU branded can koozie
Main Location Attractions @ 311 E. McElroy Road
- Frios Gourmet Pops Truck served delicious popcicles from Noon – 2 pm.
- Members came inside and received a coupon for a free Frios* Gourmet Pop
Flavors they got to choose from were: Chocolate, Blue Rasberry, Mango/Strawberry, Pink Lemonade and Cookies & Cream - Bagged popcorn from the Stillwater VFW^ was enjoyed by all
West Branch Location Attractions @ 1811 S. Sangre Road
- Kona Ice Truck served Members free snow cone/slushies from Noon – 2 pm
- Members came inside the branch and received a coupon for their free Kona Ice*
- Bagged popcorn from the Stillwater VFW^ was enjoyed by all
*Frios and Kona Ice freebies were for Members Only and were available while supplies last. Great news is we didn’t run out. Non-members can purchase frozen treats, but Members were able to come inside the branch and get a coupon for a free treat. Treat coupons were good for Friday, July 31, 2026 only and did not have cash value.
^Popcorn was purchased from the Stillwater VFW #2027. The Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) group sells popcorn as a year-long fundraiser. The Credit Union loves to purchase the popcorn and share with their Members. While Members enjoy fresh, delicious popcorn, the VFW earns proceeds from Oklahoma Community’s purchase.
