Oak Park Event Venue and Lodging recently received a $1,000 OK Community Cares grant for their band shell and performing arts venue project.
“With 1500 square feet of performance space and limitless audience space, the performance venue will serve countless purposes for the community of Perkins and its surrounding areas,” said KG Robinson, Oak Park board member. “School and/or community concerts, weddings, plays, memorial services, and festivals are just a few of the events that can occur at this new structure.”
Once this project is complete, Oak Park will have another resource to bring people together in the Perkins community and surrounding areas dedicated to the performing arts.
“We at Oak Park Event Venue and Lodging are very excited and thankful to be an OK Community Cares grant recipient as we continue to fundraise for the construction of an outdoor performance venue in the city of Perkins,” said Robinson.
Oak Park Event Venue and Lodging is located at 805 E. Kirk Ave, in Perkins, OK, offering space for small and large gatherings. It is also the home for Operation Lunch box, free weekly community dinners and the Briar Patch Microschool.
