Perkins Emergency Management was recently awarded a $1,000 OK Community Cares grant to help purchase a potable water trailer.

“Perkins Emergency Management is grateful to have been chosen to receive this grant towards our 550 Gallon Potable Water Trailer project,” said Eric Lovelace, City of Perkins Emergency Management Director. “This money will have a direct impact on our ability to serve our community during an emergency where water service may be impacted.”

With support from OK Community Cares, Perkins Emergency Management was able to purchase a potable water trailer to provide safe, clean, drinkable water for emergency response efforts, community events and disaster relief operations.

“Emergency Management is all about building resiliency – and this water buffalo is a part of that,” said Lovelace. “We are so fortunate to have community partners like Oklahoma Community Credit Union, which are willing to reinvest in the communities they serve.”
