OK Community Cares recently awarded P-T Partners in Education a $983 grant to purchase flexible seating for Perkins-Tryon Elementary classrooms.
Students in Perkins-Tryon Elementary classrooms will now have seating options to support attention challenges, sensory processing differences and for those who learn better when they are on the move.
“Each year, P-T Partners in Education receives requests from our elementary teachers for accessible and flexible seating options. However, due to the high cost of these items, we have not been able to meet all requests,” said Sarah Wyatt, P-T Partners in Education board member. “These grant funds, provided by OK Community Cares, will support Perkins-Tryon Elementary in creating learning environments that are dynamic, student-centered, and inclusive for all.”
