Stillwater band receives grant

The Stillwater Band Boosters received a $1,000 grant from OK Community Cares to help with safety improvements to the band’s semi-trailer.

The grant will be used to make safety improvements to the semi-trailer used to transport all of the band’s equipment to activities and competitions.

“The Stillwater Band Program greatly appreciates the support of Oklahoma Community Credit Union,” said Kevin Zamborsky, Director of Bands. “We believe that all of Stillwater’s performing arts groups offer a variety of students incredible opportunities to develop in unexpected ways, whether that be through improving their self-confidence in their performances, a focus on academic growth and success, or developing a greater sense of community by working with a large group of peers. We are tremendously proud of all of our students’ successes – on the stage, in the classroom, and in the community.”

OK Community Cares is a fund of Oklahoma Community Federal Credit Union (“Oklahoma Community” or “Credit Union”) to help fulfill the Credit Union’s mission to enhance the financial well-being of our members and communities. Through this fund we will exhibit our core values of “Knowing, Doing & Caring,” by supporting local organizations, schools and community activities that enhance educational opportunities, provide financial literacy, address food insecurities, encourage healthy living and address housing needs.
